Pancake breakfast to benefit local soccer association youth

GADSDEN, Alabama (February  26, 2018) — The community will have the chance to help out Etowah County young people over breakfast next month. Rehab First in Gadsden is sponsoring a pancake breakfast to raise funds for the Glencoe Soccer Association. The $5 plates will be sold Saturday, March 3 at the Glencoe Masonic Lodge Hall from 7-10 a.m.

Part of the Etowah Youth Soccer Association, the Glencoe Soccer Association has divisions for children age 4 to 18.

“It’s important to support the youth in our community and give them spaces to exercise their bodies and talents,” said Margy Cornutt, director of rehab services at Rehab First. “Our goal is to raise $2,000 and the proceeds will go toward a new soccer field.”

Glencoe junior varsity and high school players are selling tickets. Tickets for the breakfast are available for purchase at Rehab First, located at 2301 Rainbow Drive. Breakfasts may also be purchased at the door on the day of the event.
